Finally, my boy got to go...

...to the pumpkin patch! It's simply a field of pumpkins that a church in town puts out every year but he loves it! And his field trip there was rained out twice, so we decided to go as a family the day before it ended.
Please click on this picture to see how funny their faces are smiling into the sun. And also take note that their faces look exactly alike! :)

We enjoyed the sunshine and hunted for the perfect Higgins family pumpkin.
We found it and made our family jack-o-lantern. The kids were hilarious and thought the inside of the pumpkin were gross and funny at the same time. This was possibly the 3rd pumpkin I've ever carved in my life... my family wasn't really into that growing up!

We went to the fall festival at First Woodway that evening with the kids looking as cute as can be in their costumes. (next post) and that night Hudson exclaimed, "I have had such a good day!" I patted myself and my hubby on the back for a job well done, that day anyway :).It's nice to have kids who love each other so much. (most of the time!)

Did you know that the church can't sell those pumpkins after the 31st? I was able to pick out 6 last year and take home and bake for purreed pumpkin for pies and bread. I just froze it and took it out when I needed it.
